3 Days 2 Nights Meru National Park

Valid until 31st March COST PER PERSON: USD 849 (Van Option) / USD 999 (Land Cruiser Option) SAFARI ITINERARY Day 1: Nairobi – Meru National Park Pick up from your hotel early in the morning and depart for Meru National Park arriving at the camp in time for check in and lunch. You will have an option of going for an afternoon game drive or spending the afternoon at the camp at leisure. Marvelous, remote, rugged and prominently unspoilt, Meru sits intact in a wilderness less visited, yet surrounded by undiluted natural beauty. It is wild and beautiful, straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams. Dinner and overnight stay at Ikweta Safari Camp. Day 2: Explore Meru National Park Breakfast then head out for a full day exploration in Meru National Park. This park teems with a variety of wildlife species including elephants, Grevy’s zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hartebeests, hippos, buffalos and the reticulated giraffes among others. Bird life is also exceptionally diverse with over 400 bird species recorded. The park is also famous as the setting for Joy Adamson’s book ‘Born Free”, the story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst lions and cheetahs. Elsa the lioness was the most well known and her grave is marked inside the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Ikweta Safari Camp. Day 3: Meru – Nairobi Breakfast, then check out of the camp and begin your journey back to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at your hotel or airport to catch your flight back home.
